چکیده
Introduction: This retrospective study aimed to determine skeletal and dental changes after a growth spurt shortly treatment using facemask in Class III malocclusion with maxillary deficiency. Methods: We retrospectively studied 50 patients (25 per group) who underwent tooth-anchored (T-A, mean age 7.92) miniscrew-anchored (M-A, 9.84) intraoral appliances. In both groups, the applied traction force of 350–400 g each side, such that was directed 30° forward downward. Lateral cephalometric radiographs were obtained from all before (T1), immediately (T2), at an average 37.11 months protraction (T3). A total 13 measurements analyzed changes. paired t-test used verify effects before, after, during follow-up periods group. Results: An anteroposterior relationship, values SNA ANB, evident groups T2, significantly improved M-A group (p < 0.05). However, ANB MP–SN, which indicate relapse vertical relation maxilla mandible, higher T-A compared period. The first molars more extruded incisors protruded than group, this persisted T3 Conclusions: Miniscrew-anchored increased improvement relationship reduced relapses growing hyperdivergent patterns malocclusion.

INTRODUCTION In this cephalometric investigation, we analyzed the treatment effects of bone-anchored maxillary protraction (BAMP) with miniplates in the maxilla and mandible connected by Class III elastics in patients with Class III malocclusion. METHODS The treated sample consisted of 21 Class III patients consecutively treated with the BAMP protocol before the pubertal growth spurt (mean ag...

The aim of this case report is to describe the treatment of a patient with skeletal Class III malocclusion with maxillary retrognathia using skeletal anchorage devices and intermaxillary elastics. Miniplates were inserted between the mandibular lateral incisor and canine teeth on both sides in a male patient aged 14 years 5 months. Self-drilling mini-implants (1.6 mm diameter, 10 mm length) wer...
